The Beatles, the London Philharmonic …and now the Durham Miners’ Association Band. Abbey Road Studios didn’t know what it hit it when the band arrived to record for the soundtrack to Praslin Picture’s bio-documentary of former Labour politician, and long-time friend of the Durham Miners’ Association, Tony Benn. The band recorded music composed by Michel Duvoisin and worked with legendary trumpet player Crispian Steele-Perkins.
